Q: If you only have money for 1 maker technology what would you recommend and why?

A1-
Laser cutter/engraver. Can do a whole class worth of projects in less than 20 minutes, FAST and cheap fabrication, can also make projects that can be sold in fundraisers…to further help buy more stuff for your space!
A2-
That depends on how much money you’re talking. If you have bare minimum (less than $100), get as much cardboard and cardboard cutting tools as you can, as well as The Extraordinaires Design Studio. If you have $20,000, get a laser cutter/engraver.
A3-
If it was a high-tech tool, probably some kind of laser cutter or CNC machine because you can do so much with them and they can be used by so many different ages. If it’s low-tech, then honestly, cardboard is probably the most versatile and most used material/tech in my makerspace.
