Twitter is hands down the best PD resource I leverage for ideas and projects in my classroom. Connect with educators, makers, designers, and Ed tech companies. Reach beyond Twitter by direct messaging, emailing, phone calls and Skype/Google Hangouts. These are where the real connections are made and the resources flow. The best part is that long distance friendships can be forged and connecting classrooms and maker spaces can happen. This can show, in a very tangible way, that the world is your students’ audience as well as their main source of ideas and empathy.
